As a specialist company supporting the utility companies, we have developed equipment, specifically designed for emergency deployments during severe storms, inclement and extreme weather conditions.
Through our 8 UK depots, we provide 24/7 emergency response support to utility companies. It has become evident shortly before xmas 2013 demand for our services from the utility companies was increasing significantly, and deployments of generators from 18KVA to 1250KVA was ever increasing.
Service Levels were in particular demanding, with Engineers and Service Support working round the clock deploying and project managing large areas of the UK, to respond as quickly as possible to their customer needs. Utilising our Emergency Response Vehicles, which is a specially constructed HGV, with a fixed Generator, Fuel Tank and Cable enabled us to respond quickly to extreme parts of the country and put power back to thousands of homes
Stephen Cardwell, Managing Director of Generator Power said ” In recent weeks it has been particularly busy, starting just before Xmas 2013 , previously storms were noticeably more localised, it has become more of a spread throughout the UK. Incidents of extreme weather certainly seems to be on the increase and has created an unprecedented demand for our services. Particularly last night we had around 10-12 staff available throught the night including Drivers, Engineers, Support Staff, and between 7pm and today we have deployed 79 generators to the utilities and a handful of private clients including ERVs.
