Generator Power are proud to, once again, be supporting the Walking With The Wounded Cumbrian Challenge in 2019.
Taking place at Grasmere Sports Ground, Cumbria on 17th & 18th May is the 2019 Cumbrian Challenge – Walking With The Wounded’s annual flagship fundraising event, which has now raised more than £1 million to support veterans integrating back into society.
Walking With The Wounded provide support for vulnerable veterans and help them sustain their independence through assisting them in entering careers outside of the military. The organisation helps those struggling with mental health issues, unemployment, homelessness or in police custody by providing early intervention programmes and speeding up access to therapy.
2019 will be the fourth year that Generator Power have supported the event by supplying one of our 40kVA road towable generators free of charge.
“Generator Power have been generously and consistently supplying the Cumbrian Challenge and we’ve grown to rely on them to power the event.
“Thanks to their equipment – and also the staff teams who have tucked into the challenge – we’ve raised more than a million pounds for ex-military in need and have a fantastic set-up to engage many more teams of supporters going forwards who want to step out, meet our beneficiaries and raise money to support them.”
