Every two minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer and one in three people are diagnosed at some point in their lives.
Here at Generator Power we want to do everything we can to fight back against cancer. And so while recovering from our cycle from Leeds to Paris last year, we decided to take on the three peak challenge.
It involves hiking up the three highest peaks in the UK – Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden. Quite a feat, I’m sure you’d agree. But rather than just make our way to the top, we’re going to push ourselves even further. We’re going to cycle between the peaks over a six day period.
That’s approximately 526 miles over 6 days. 500 miles cycling, 26 miles of hill climbing.
Are we mad?
Yes. But remember, it’s all for a good cause. We’re aiming to beat our unbelievable £7,335 raised last year for this wonderful cause. There are 6 of us taking the challenge on. Some new, some old, but we’re all ready and raring to go.
We’re just asking for a little bit of help. Head on over to our Just Giving page and give whatever you can and help Cancer Research UK continue the brilliant work they do every day.
It’s going to be a challenge but the more we raise the more we’re motivated to do it!
