Our Accounts Utility Clerk, Amy Scorah has entered the London Marathon and needs your help raising money for Mountain Rescue, RNLI and Leeds Children’s Transplant Team.
Mountain Rescue recover climbers from heights, ensure those with injuries are delivered to vital hospital care, and regularly help search for missing children and vulnerable adults.
RNLI save lives by providing a 24 hour lifeboat search and rescue service, seasonal lifeguards, water safety education and initiatives, and flood rescue response.
The Leeds Children’s Transplant Team is made up of children from all over the UK who have had life-saving transplants. The organisation gives these children, many of who were previously unable to participate in any sports, the opportunity to participate in the Transplant Games.
After earning a ballot place in the London Marathon on 23 April 2017, Amy has decided to raise as much money as she can for three charities that mean the most to her.
“When I cross that finish line it will not only be a great achievement for me personally, my three chosen charities will also benefit.”
Support the important work that each of these organisations do, and join us in cheering Amy on, by donating to her Virgin Money Giving page.
Every little helps, so any amount you can give is appreciated and will be donated to a great cause. If you’re unable to donate, you can still help by spreading the word.
