We have a number of requests for emergency power at Generator Power and we’re always willing to provide support for any worthy cause. So we didn’t hesitate when Joanne from the West Yorkshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre got in touch with us back in September via Facebook. We listened to her plight and it touched our hearts, so we felt compelled to act.
West Yorkshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre (WYMSTC) was founded in 1984 and this centre provides essential support to the Yorkshire region for anyone suffering from this life-changing illness. It’s a fabulous facility that relies solely on donations, subscriptions and fund-raising from the public and it really does make a difference to the quality of peoples’ lives that are suffering from MS.
Sadly the building WYMSTC is housed in (Airedale International Air Conditioning) suffered from a major fire on Friday 6th September 2013 which meant the therapy centre needed to be rehoused. Thankfully another building could be utilised on site, the only problem was, it didn’t have any power!
Once our MD Stephen Cardwell became aware of the situation he sprang into action and arranged for one of our emergency generators to be delivered to the site for free to provide temporary power in the interim. Our qualified electrician had the generator up and running and equipment connected on 16th September 2013, it’ll keep on running until the original mill complex has been rebuilt and the mains power has been restored.
With our help the WYMSTC is continuing to provide a wonderful service to the Yorkshire region and we are only too happy to support this worthy cause. If you need help with any emergency project in the future, don’t hesitate to get in touch, we’re waiting to take your call or you can connect with us via Facebook like Joanne did from the WYMSTC.
